Collateral Types
Manna accepts SOL only as collateral. One asset. Maximum simplicity.
Supported Collateral
| Asset | Type | Max LTV |
|---|---|---|
| SOL | Native Solana | 80% |
Why SOL Only?
Most CDP protocols support multiple collateral types. Manna deliberately doesn't.
Benefits of SOL-only collateral:
- Single oracle — only one price feed needed, reducing attack surface
- No multi-asset complexity — no need to manage different risk parameters per asset
- Pure SOL exposure — borrowers retain full upside on the most liquid asset on Solana
- Simpler to audit — fewer moving parts means fewer potential failure modes
- Predictable liquidations — all collateral is the same asset, making the stability pool more efficient
Collateral Value
The protocol uses a single SOL/USD price oracle. Your collateral value is:
Collateral Value = SOL amount × SOL/USD priceAdding Collateral
You can add SOL to an existing Trove at any time to increase your collateral ratio. This is useful when the SOL price drops and you want to avoid liquidation.
Future Collateral Types
Additional collateral types may be considered through governance (MetaDAO) in future versions. Any changes require a successful futarchy proposal.
